We are thrilled to share some fantastic news about upcoming enhancements to our library! Thanks to a generous grant from FirstBooks Marketplace, we will be adding new Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) titles to our collection, providing students with even more resources to explore important life skills through reading.
Additionally, we have received an incredible grant from The Friends of Kirk Bear Canyon Library in partnership with Hughes Federal Credit Union! This funding will allow us to update our non-fiction section, introduce Yoto-players, and bring in even more exciting materials. Stay tuned for updates as these changes roll out!
Celebrate the joy of reading all month long! We have a variety of fun activities planned, including special book displays, reading challenges, and surprise guest readers. Keep an eye on this space for announcements and ways to get involved!
Get ready for one of the most beloved library traditions! The Stuffed Animal Sleepover is happening soon—bring your favorite stuffed friend for an overnight adventure at the library. Visit our Stuffed Animal Sleepover Page for dates and details on how to participate!
Become a Library Ambassador and take on a leadership role in our school library! Open to 4th and 5th graders, this exciting opportunity allows students to assist with library tasks, gain valuable skills, and earn special rewards.
Hi everyone! My name is Riley Essig, and I’m so excited to be your Library Assistant. I was born and raised right here in Tucson, and I’ve always had a deep love for books and learning. Reading has been a big part of my life, and I love helping students discover new stories and resources in the library!
I recently stepped into the Library Assistant position after Mr. Mike retired. Many of you may remember him, but don't worry, he's not gone for good because he’s my dad, and I've roped him into volunteering! It’s been amazing to continue his legacy and the students love it when he stops by.
Come say hi when you’re in the library—I’d love to help you find your next favorite book!
